Come and join the celebration!
It's only one week until the election husting. Do you have a question you would like to ask the candidates standing in the election? If so, here's your chance. You can do so via email: email@example.com The deadline is midnight on Sunday 8th December. Let me explain how the evening will work. Each candidate will be invited to make an introductory statement of up to one minute. They will then answer questions, which will have been submitted in advance, via the Chair. Each candidate will have up to two minutes to answer each question. We may open the question up to the floor, depending on its complexity. The order in which candidates answer the questions will be randomly decided by the chair. There will be no closing statements. We can’t promise that we will ask everybody’s question exactly as phrased, as there will probably only be time for five in total. We will, however, look at all that are submitted, put into categories, and try to ask them in a way that reflects the concerns of the community.
